A few things we love, and a few people we'd like you to meet.
Casa Cedo was never meant to be just a place to sleep.
While creating the house, we slowly discovered our own Porto, the restaurants we return to, the galleries we follow, the people making beautiful things, the places we escape to when we want to leave the city for a few hours.
We are still discovering it.
Some of these places are well known. Others aren't. We are happy to share them with our guests and, when we can, make the introductions.
Tell us what you like, or leave a little room for surprise.
PORTO, WITH SOME HELP
We can help with the practical things: a car from the airport, a restaurant you have been trying to book, a private guide, tickets, or simply deciding where to spend an afternoon.
But we are equally happy to tell you where we would go ourselves.
A small restaurant, an exhibition, a favourite walk, somewhere for a glass of wine, or perhaps something happening in the city that week.
No fixed itineraries. Just Porto, according to you.
HAVE THE HOUSE TO YOURSELF
Casa Cedo can also be taken in its entirety.
Eight bedrooms, the garden, terraces, dining room and shared spaces become yours for a few days.
Bring friends, bring family, celebrate something, or don't.
We'll help with everything else.
A DAY IN THE DOURO
The Douro is close enough to disappear to for the day, and beautiful enough that you probably should.
We can arrange a car, visits to wine estates, lunch somewhere special, or simply time by the river.
Among the people we love working with are Quinta de Ventozelo and Marma Slow, whose beautifully restored old Portuguese wooden boats are a particularly lovely way to see the valley.
We can organise as much or as little of the day as you like.
ON THE WATER
Discover Porto from a different perspective with a private cruise along the Douro River. Through our partners, we can arrange private yacht experiences from Porto's historic riverfront towards the ocean and the golden light of Foz do Douro.
Our concierge team can take care of the details, including transfers, departure times, refreshments and a Casa Cedo picnic or aperitif to enjoy on board. From relaxed daytime journeys to private sunset cruises, every experience can be tailored for couples, families and groups.
TAKE CASA CEDO WITH YOU
We like picnics.
For a boat, a garden, the river or an afternoon by the sea, we can prepare one for you with things we like to eat ourselves: good local produce, something sweet, something to drink and, quite possibly, a very good sandwich.
We can usually suggest somewhere nice to take it too.
STAY HOME
Sometimes the nicest plan is not to go anywhere.
We invite some of the makers and creative people we have met in Porto into Casa Cedo for private workshops, flowers, ceramics, perfume, food and other things depending on who is around and what interests you.
They are informal, small and personal.
And you don't have to leave the house.
CELEBRATE SOMETHING
Birthdays, anniversaries, dinners, gatherings, or simply having all your favourite people in the same place.
Casa Cedo can host private occasions throughout the house and garden. We can bring in a chef, arrange flowers from our shop, find the wine, music and whatever else the evening might need.
We prefer celebrations that feel like yours rather than ours.
